The first annual Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned “Hudson Bay Heritage Days BBQ Cookoff” will be held August 18 – 20, 2017 in DuPont, WA, and is a qualifier for The Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue, the world’s largest BBQ Competition. If you are a Pit Master, you need to be there. And if you just love to eat great BBQ you should be here too!
August 18-20 2017 will be a weekend to remember. The event begins Friday night, August 18th, with the 27th Annual 5 Star Classic Car Cruise In. The Car Show and BBQ continue on Saturday featuring some of the sharpest rides in the Northwest and the best BBQ competitors in the nation. Saturday and Sunday are a guaranteed great time meeting top notch pitmasters and sampling competition level BBQ. Plus on Sunday, the DuPont Historical Society will sponsor the Hudson Bay Company 1850’s Ft Nisqually activities with tours and re-enactors. Discover the music, gear and crafts of life on the first non-Native settlement in Puget Sound. All activities and concerts are free to the public so come out, bring the family, and enjoy a great weekend of Classic Cars, BBQ, Brews, and Music. You will find it all right here in DuPont, the friendliest little city in the Northwest.
